Near a calendar month ago in my Declutter post, I mentioned wanting to sell some of my unwanted makeup on Poshmark in order to minimize my makeup collection. Information technology took a while but I've finally made a few sales so I idea I'd share my experiences!

Poshmark describes themselves as "a simple and fun manner to buy and sell fashion. Shop the closets of women across America – and sell yours likewise!" The app works virtually similar a social media app. Y'all have a "closet" which shows all of the items you've listed for sale. To browse around, you can either search for what yous'd like specifically (not unlike every other online store) or browse your feed which shows new listings from brands yous've shown interest in. You can follow other users so that their new listings or shares too show upwardly on your feed.

As a buyer, if y'all encounter something yous like, you have several options. You lot tin can buy it immediately, make an offer to negotiate the price with the seller, or just "similar" the item (Poshmark will keep track of the price and alarm you immediately if the seller drops the price). I have no personal experiences as a buyer to share every bit I joined Poshmark in lodge to clear out my stuff and then I had no interest in buying anything.

Price wise, equally a seller you have the pick of setting a package discount where if someone buys 2 or more than (or 3 or more than, etc.) items from your closet, they will receive a certain discount (10%, 20%, etc.) This gives potential buyers a little more incentive to buy more things from your closet. If you become an offering for an item (or a bundle of items), you take the choice of accepting the offer or countering with an offer of your own. All offers expire automatically afterward 24 hrs but if either buyer or seller accepts the offer, the transaction is immediately completed.

My outset couple of listings were the palettes that I had mentioned in my declutter post, however, my outset sale was actually a pair of boots that I listed several days later. Poshmark's system was fairly like shooting fish in a barrel to piece of work with.
